Critical to our future is our improving the ways in which we exchange ideas and services amongst our global community. Our foundation prides itself on organizing ventures and programs that allow our fellows to experience and participate in societal progress on the world stage. Through cultural exchange, we are able to improve world outlooks and help inspire our next generation to act as global citizens.

Through collaboration with the Harvard Kennedy School, the Lily Li Future Foundation supports the Future of Diplomacy Project, dedicated to promoting the study and understanding of diplomacy, negotiation and statecraft in international politics today. The Project conducts research in modern diplomatic practice and builds public understanding of diplomacy’s indispensable role in an increasingly complex and globalized world.

 

Previously, the foundation also funded an immersion trip to Beijing for New York City youth through the Police Athletic League. Students participated in several tours, a cultural and artistic exchange at a local Chinese school, visited the Great Wall, performed at the Nature Museum, and traveled to Dalian City in northeast China. The trip was considered a transformative experience, with several participants citing the chance to meet Chinese peers their own age. Opportunities such as these help raise global citizens, a primary goal for our foundation.
